WhatsChat - Chat with Friends App Reviews

I find this app to work well in its main objectives, which is to allow us to use whatsapp in our desktop with better notifications. It needs polishing in the details, which I believe will come as the app matures.

It’s nice when you’re able to extend the use of a tool. I hate typing in mobiles, so I use WhatsChat whenever I’m at home, to keep relevant conversations going. So far, it worked seamslessly.

Switching to the mobile all the time is a hassle. Using WhatsApp Web on a browser makes a bit easier but you always need to open the browser and although it works it has all the hastles of icons and options around when you use it. This application makes using WhatsApp on the computer very easy, including posting pictures from the computer and being aware when folks chat with you. Its a cool app.

It was about necessary to have an app like whatschat to help chatting with whatsapp friends without moving from iMac to iPhone. I just love it……..

If you use What’s up often then this is a must app. Works great connection is fast and is much easier typing on computer then cell phone. I’m using a Note 5 with newest updates and I’ve had no problems using on my Mac. Get it you won’t be sorry..

I normally don’t do reviews, but here I had to! My wife is in Europe with a friend and we were texting two times a day. For starters let me say that i’m almost 70 and don’t like texting. We started using WhatsApp to communicate, but the small keyboard on my phone is worthless to my fat fingers. When I tried Whats Chat, it fixed everything. Typing was easier, the pictures she sent were much easier to view and the whole experience was better. I highly recommend using this when a loved one is far from home.

This app you most have it. Works fantastic, let you reply like the messages, the notification are good, the design is the same that the one in the iPhone and you can edit de designs colors. Is a most have.!!

Since I found this app, I have really gotten an easier than the web from whats, where you need to be active for most of the time, if not you have to reconnect. Here you just need to have your phone with internet, and the system wont be disconecting you like their system. I use the whatsapp for all my communications, SMS is mostly of the past. If you are an active user of your whatssapp, when you are at the MAC you can download this app, and continue with your tasks without been in the need to be getting the phone on your hands, and just answer here, and continue with your duties without trouble. Thank you for this great app, and got my 5 Stars!!! Keep making it better than the original mobile whatssapp!!!!

The application is automatically set to be in ALL desktops (regardless of selecting ‘assign to: this desktop’ option and it is ALWAYS on top of all other windows. There are no preference options to change these options. Functionally it performs on par as the Web-based WhatsAPP chat. Running MacOS Sierra

I don’t normally write too many reviews, but for a version 1 of an application, this really does work as expected. The UI is very pleasing, fits well on the dock along side iMessage and the general use of the application is what you want - fast, easy to navigate and handle with good notifications. Media is handled well, with click to download as well as the ability to save photos etc locally. While WhatsApp is available via webapp and other methods this app is handy for use and certainly can’t fault it so far. I’ll update as I have more usage.

Works exactly as advertised and has made it much easier for me to share quick notes with my family while I’m working. Great also when you need to send something more substantial without the difficulties of typing on impossibly tiny phone keyboards. Worth a pay for, even if it appears for the moment it is free!
